We have spent ten years learning how to save time and money when it comes to management of text and data from multiple sources. This talk will present our experience in implementing Semantic Enterprise solutions and reusing common software components and best practices. We will investigate different usage scenarios like data integration or text mining from the health care and life sciences domain. A typical workflow will be applied to the scenarios and demonstrate how to manage in 10 weeks to integrate 10 different databases, mine 10 million documents, and let customers explore this interlinked knowledge in 10 different ways. This presentation will cover the full path in adopting semantic technology in the enterprise and demonstrate a fully operational infrastructure which allows one to:
• Integrate structured data from a variety of sources
• Uncover implicit facts, interpreting the semantics of the data
• Collect information from proprietary sources and the web
• Interlink text and data to tag and index the text
• Extract new facts from text to enrich the data
• Provide multi-modal search and navigation
